It doesn’t appear that Infinix is taking the foot off the pedal anytime soon. With a slew of devices set for release in 2020, the budget market seems firmly in the smartphone makers grasp. The latest in its offerings is the Infinix Hot 10, which is set for release in October 2020. We have some details about the upcoming release and from the looks of it, it seems like another solid offering from Infinix. Design
While there’s not much to go by for the design, we do know that the nifty phone will measure in at a moderate 171.1 mm x 77.6 mm x 8.9 mm, and should weigh around 195 grams. With this spec, we know that the Infinix Hot 10 is handy and easily usable and won’t require the use of both hands. Released photos showed the device available in a variety of colours such as Obsidian Black, Amber Red, Moonlight Jade, and Ocean Wave.
Display
For its display, we’re promised a 6.78-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. That’s a sizable screen, certain to be a favourite for media consumers who like a big screen. A display resolution of 720 X1640 isn’t exactly the best, but it should offer a crisp enough viewing experience to users, considering its price range.
Performance
While we don’t have a lot of numbers about the power this device is power packing, we do know that under the hood, it’ll run on a Mediatek G70 processor. Going by past performance, the device should be able to handle most tasks seamlessly. You should also be able to jump between apps without any issues.
While there’s a lot riding on how a device performs, we know that the device will be available in the 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants, allowing for great user experience in either variant. 64GB of storage also assures you of plenty of storage space. In case that’s not enough, the Infinix Hot 10 also comes in a 128GB variant, with a 6GB RAM, ensuring that you have enough space for your files and apps.
The Infinix Hot 10 will run on the Android 10, with its custom-built XOS 6.0 OS.
Camera
For the camera, the Infinix Hot 10 is slated for a 4-camera set up, featuring a 48MP primary camera acting as the main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide camera for wider angle shots, a 2MP camera and 2MP depth sensor for portrait photos. We’ve also learned that features such as digital zoom, autoflash and face detection will be available via the camera software. In front, you’ll have your selfies taken with an 8MP primary camera.
Battery
The device will be powered by a fairly large 520 mAh lithium polymer battery. With this, you can expect to have a full day of heavy use without requiring a recharge, and then some.
Price
The Infinix Hot 10 is expected to retail at about N55,000.
Verdict
Going by the information available, we think the Infinix Hot 10 is going to upset the budget phone market. With a wide range of features available for such a small price, it is definitely a steal.
